There are a lot of these on eBay from various
vendors in the U.S. and overseas. I bought this on eBay about 8
months ago. Why buy it from me? Because I've used it, I can vouch
for it's condition, and I can tell you exactly how good it
is. And it's pretty darn good.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but I needed a two-camera system
to monitor separate rooms in a small business environment and I
wasn't willing to pay the prices my surveillance company was quoting
me for a system like that. So I decided to take a chance on eBay,
and I couldn't be happier with the features and performance of this
system.
It easily fits all of the needs a "baby monitor", but
its the high-tech remote pan & tilt features that make this an ideal
system for monitoring a child's playroom, backyard pool area,
shop/warehouse/retail floor locations, etc., etc. The cameras can be
manually directed from the receiver (or the included remote fob
controller) to view a 270 degree horizontal
rotation angle
and 120 degree vertical rotation angle! They can also be set to
auto-pan for constant surveillance of a large area.
 The
receiver runs on AC or batteries, is small enough to carry in your
pocket, has a flip down stand to watch at a desk, and can also be
connected to a TV and controlled with the fob remote. It can handle
up to 3 cameras, each selectable from the receiver. Every camera has
its own microphone so selecting one redirects the audio and video
from that surveillance area. All in all, a very versatile system.
What also impressed me was the quality of the unit. The picture is
clear, sharp and in color. It auto adjusts for lighting and handles
low-light situations very well. It even includes infrared night
vision technology to allow you to see a black and white image of
about 15 feet of distance, on-screen, in total darkness! It works,
and it's amazing. Audio monitoring with separate volume control is
available on the receiver unit and includes an earbud type headphone
for private monitoring.
 Installation
couldn't be easier. The receiver and cameras run on AC adaptors -
just plug them in and you're ready to go. An RCA composite cable is
included for connecting to any TV set (or video recorder) and the
screen image is a respectable 320 lines, so using a big screen TV as
a monitor is no problem if you prefer. The operating range is 330
feet and I had no difficulty being on different levels or behind
walls.
There is one downside. The
2.4GHz wireless technology is the same frequency used by many
popular wireless internet routers. You can see and hear interference
in the receiver if it's too close to these signals. The unit offers
3 switchable channels to combat interference. Don't get me wrong,
the system will still work, but the video signal gets noisy and the
audio suffers from static. It wasn't a big issue for me, but I want
you to know that's the fault of the technology, not the product.
I'm not in a business where
I need this anymore so I'm putting it back up on eBay where somebody
can get some good use out of it. It's in excellent working and
cosmetic condition. I have all the original packaging and
